Documentation

Everything you need to know about StrategyArchive -- how the platform works, what you can do, and how it helps traders learn and grow together.

What is StrategyArchive

StrategyArchive is a community-driven platform where traders publish, discover, and discuss trading strategies in a transparent, structured environment. Think of it as a living library of trading approaches -- each one documented with clear rules, risk parameters, performance metrics, and community feedback.

Unlike social media feeds filled with screenshots and hype, StrategyArchive gives every strategy a structured format: entry and exit rules, risk management details, asset class, timeframe, and self-reported performance data. This makes it easy to evaluate, compare, and learn from different trading approaches.

StrategyArchive is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not financial advice, and no content on the platform should be treated as a recommendation to trade.

Why It Exists

The trading education space is flooded with low-quality content: vague signals, unverified screenshots, paywalled chatrooms with no accountability, and influencers making bold claims with no track record. Traders -- especially those just starting out -- deserve better.

StrategyArchive was built to solve specific problems:

Transparency over hype

Every strategy uses a consistent format. No hidden rules, no paywalled signals. Entry logic, exit logic, and risk management are laid out clearly.

Structure over chaos

Instead of scattered social posts, strategies are organized by asset class, timeframe, style, and tags -- making them searchable and comparable.

Discussion over blind following

Comment threads are designed for genuine learning. Ask questions, challenge assumptions, share improvements -- not spam links.

Learning over selling

The platform rewards quality documentation. The better your strategy is explained, the more engagement it receives.

How It Works

StrategyArchive follows a straightforward three-step cycle that makes it easy for anyone to contribute and benefit:

1

Create

Write out your strategy using the structured form. Define your entry conditions, exit rules, risk management approach, asset class, timeframe, and trading style. Add tags so others can find it. Optionally include performance metrics like win rate, return rate, and max drawdown.

2

Publish

When you're ready, publish your strategy to the community feed. You can also save it as a draft if you want to refine it first. You can attach proof images -- screenshots of chart setups, trade entries, or results.

3

Discuss & Improve

Once published, other traders can view your strategy, leave comments, ask questions, and provide feedback. Use this to refine your approach, learn from others, and build credibility within the community.

Creating Strategies

The strategy creation panel walks you through everything step by step. Here is what each section covers:

Basic Information

  • Strategy Name -- A clear, descriptive name that helps others identify your approach at a glance.
  • Description -- An overview of what the strategy does, what makes it unique, and how it works conceptually.
  • Asset Class -- Whether the strategy applies to Stocks, Forex, Crypto, Options, or Futures.
  • Timeframe -- The chart timeframe your strategy operates on (1 minute through weekly).
  • Trading Style -- Trend following, mean reversion, breakout, scalping, or swing trading.
  • Tags -- Up to 10 tags that help others discover your strategy through search and filters.

Trading Rules

  • Entry Conditions -- The specific criteria that trigger a trade entry: indicators, price action patterns, technical setups, or confluence factors.
  • Exit Conditions -- When and how you close positions, including profit targets, stop losses, and trailing stop strategies.
  • Risk Management -- Position sizing rules, maximum risk per trade, portfolio-level risk limits, and capital protection measures.

Performance Metrics (Optional)

You can self-report historical performance to add context, though this is optional. Available fields include:

  • Return Rate -- Overall profit/loss percentage.
  • Max Drawdown -- The largest peak-to-trough decline.
  • Win Rate -- Percentage of winning trades.

Proof Images

You can upload up to 3 images per strategy -- screenshots of chart setups, trade entries, backtesting results, or anything that visually supports the strategy. Each image can be up to 5MB (JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP).

Drafts vs. Publishing

You can save a strategy as a draft at any time and come back to it later. Only published strategies appear in the community feed. You can unpublish a strategy to hide it and republish when ready.

Each user can create up to 10 strategies.

The community feed is where all published strategies live. You can browse and discover strategies from traders around the world.
