Before you copy an idea

Read a strategy as a research record

A useful record explains when the idea applies, what triggers an entry, where the thesis becomes invalid, how risk is limited, and which evidence supports the rules. A screenshot or win rate without those details is not enough to evaluate a strategy.

Rules and invalidation

Define the market, timeframe, setup, entry, exit, and the price or condition that proves the idea wrong.

Evidence, not certainty

Review sample size, costs, drawdown, market regime, and out-of-sample behavior. Past results never guarantee the next trade.
